Jackie Leat, MD, Compleat Technology 

Millbrook Resort, IT Manager and principle consultant for Compleat Technology Limited, specialising in delivering Hospitality Technology in New Zealand

Having grown up in hospitality in Queenstown, training in business analysis, project management and IT technology, Jackie has worked in IT for 28 years, developing systems and now delivering technology in retail and hotels. Working first as a software developer, Jackie developed ski rental systems sold in Australasia and point of sale software with New Zealand’s largest souvenir retailer, Aotea Souvenirs before moving to Millbrook Resort in 2010.

Moving to Auckland in 2012, Jackie also joined SKYCITY Entertainment Group specialising in delivering technology in hospitality systems and retail through until 2018. Jackie has been central to the planning the technologies for the New Zealand International Convention Centre and new five-star hotels in Auckland and Adelaide.

At Millbrook Resort, having upgraded the infrastructure and Wi-Fi, Jackie is implementing a world class digital customer experience roadmap to facilitate mobile engagement directly with our guests and automations and integrations with measurable benefits for the Resort.

Stephen Borcoskie, CEO, TJK NZ Ltd

TJK is most notably known as the owners of The George, Christchurch and Regent of Rotorua, with Hotel Montreal, Christchurch and Hulbert House, Queenstown, and soon to be the Henley Hotel, Cambridge also under the management of subsidiary hotel management company Brook Serene Hotel Management www.brookserene.com

As a joint venture partner TJK NZ Ltd has recently completed the construction and launch of mi-pad, a 57 room new generation hotel in central Queenstown, for the young and young at heart, free independent traveller www.mipadhotels.com

Underpinned by technology, the guest experience is based around “everything you need and nothing you don’t”, promoting the use of social space and encouraging the “guest to explore from the door”.

Vikas Yadav, Group Marketing and Revenue Manager, Sarin

Vikas is an experienced Cluster Revenue & Marketing manager having spend over 5 years in the industry. Presently, he wears several hats from being a Business Manager setting up new hotels for the Sarin Group to being the Director of Sales for existing hotels. Vikas is a tech-savvy person who enjoys learning new technologies and systems to up-skill himself and add value to the business. He likes to keep himself abreast of the latest technology coming to the market and their real world and industry specific implementation. His key strengths are building strong relations with key stakeholders and drive value business to the group. Vikas enjoys implementing new systems and technologies which are valued by end customer and that would result in a better guest experience.

Ted Horner

E Horner & Associates and Information Technology & Services Consultant

In 1989, Ted established E Horner & Associates Pty Ltd, a consulting practice specialising in technology consulting to the hospitality industry and is now widely respected as Australia's leading consultant in this area.

In 1996, Ted created Australia’s first dedicated hospitality technology conference called AHT, while this event does not exist now, in its place is Teds Conference which started in 2012.  Teds is a half day seminar featuring global speakers on technology for senior managers and owners/developers to educate them on major trends in technology in our industry.

In 2002 he was a founding member of Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG) a not for profit body which was established in the US to promote open systems integrations between vendors in the industry, today he is an Executive Advisor to HTNG.

In 2004 he was the first non-US person to be elected to the HITEC Technology Hall of Fame for his contribution to the advancement of technology in the hospitality industry.

In 2014 he was elected to the International Board of Directors of Hotel Technology Financial Professionals (HFTP) who run the largest hotel technology exhibition/conference in the world (HITEC)

Over the last 28 years Ted has attended and spoken at conferences in Europe, South Africa, Middle East, USA, most countries in SE Asia, India, China and the UK.

Ted has completed consulting assignments in the following countries Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, USA, Malaysia, Dubai and Papua New Guinea.
