Registration scholarships

Registration Scholarship Criteria

Applications for Scholarships are invited from people involved in the prescription of Assistive Technology for people with disabilities who wish to attend the OSS 2019 conference but who would otherwise be unable to attend due to financial constraints. 

There will be up to 6 OSS 2019 registration Scholarships awarded in 2019, kindly supported by Paragon Mobility, Permobil, Invacare and Active Mobility Solutions.

To qualify for a registration scholarship, applicants agree to provide OSS 2019 a brief summary of how your attendance at OSS2019 was beneficial to you and your networks within 28 days after the OSS, and will need to meet as many as possible of following criteria:

  • Are employed, studying or providing voluntary support in the field of Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and/or other Allied Health professions.
  • Will not otherwise be able to attend due to financial constraints
  • Identify as a person with a lived experience of people with disability (including family members), whose primary role within the disability sector is voluntary
  • Live and work (or studying) in Australia or New Zealand

For your application please include:

  • A brief statement outlining why you would like to attend OSS2019 and how it will benefit you and your networks.

Please note:

  • You need to demonstrate how you meet the qualifying criteria
  • There will only be one scholarship recipient per organisation or group
  • The cost of the OSS dinner is not included in the scholarship. We welcome you to purchase a ticket
  • Travel and accommodation is not included in the scholarship
  • Once your application has been received no correspondence will be entered into.

Scholarship Process:

The application form below must be used.  Successful scholarship applicants will be notified by the Friday 4 October.  The scholarship selection panel will include representation from the OSS committee

Early bird registration will be available for the non-successful applications

Students must be full time/unwaged at time of OSS19 (proof is required)

Prices are in Australian dollars and include gst
You have the option to request an invoice or pay via credit card at the end of the registration process.
(note master card and visas will be accepted, with a 3% charge for credit card payments)
