Join us at the Simpson Grierson Summit Dinner at 7pm on September 28 at the Novotel Rotorua for a drink or two, accompanied by some delicious food stations, serving old-school Stateside favourites. Think Cajun gumbo, fried chicken, Texas BBQ, pecan pie and knickerbocker glory.
There wasn’t much money to spare in the 1930s, but swing and jazz dominated the airwaves and people were encouraged to dance their cares away. The golden age of Hollywood had arrived with Greta Garbo, Errol Flynn and Mae West gracing the silver screen. Fashion was elegant and glamorous, make-up chic and double-breasted suits and fedoras were in. Dress the part and you could win the Best Dressed Trophy.
Enjoy the smooth jazz sounds from the live band, and hit the dance floor from 9.30pm.
For those that wish to hire some 'fancy threads' for the evening, there will be a costume hire facility at the Summit venue on the afternoon of Wednesday the 28th.
Please note that there is no set seating for this function.
